JosiahKids is what every family has been hoping to find! Our mission is to educate, empower and equip young students in local communities in the areas of faith, leadership, community service and the arts.
So how does it work? Our classes are offered for students ages (7-12) and TEENS ages (13-19). Our school year runs from September through May. We meet on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month. Parents drop off their students at 9 am in the morning (TEENS at 8 a.m.) and head out for a breakfast date, groceries or simply to plan their upcoming week. Parents have the option of picking up at 12:00 noon when we're done, OR at 1:00 p.m. if they opt to let the students stay for lunch and socialize.
While students are with us, they are hearing guest speakers from all walks of life (lawyers, chefs, authors, athletes, doctors, musicians, pastors, business executives and young student leaders who are doing well in various fields). Students are also elevating creativity in music, art, innovation and dance, building lasting friendships, learning how to budget, serving their community and growing in virtue, convictions and character.
Starting this fall, we will be adding basketball to our program from 2 - 4 p.m. (for both genders).
Each fall, students will have the opportunity to be a part of one big annual production - The Buford Harvest - where we will recognize students for outstanding achievements and refresh our community with captivating performances in music, spoken word, dance and skits by our own students. This fall we are so very honored to have Robert Long, Chief Innovation Officer of The Coca-Cola Company as our Keynote Speaker. Everyone is invited!
